1.     How often do you wear jewellery? Why/Why not?

I wear jewellery occasionally, usually for special occasions like weddings or parties. I prefer to keep it simple for daily wear, but I enjoy dressing up with some accessories when the moment calls for it.

2.     What type of jewellery do you like best? Why/Why not?

I like necklaces the best, especially simple and elegant designs. They can enhance an outfit without being too flashy, and I find them very versatile.

3.     When do people like to give jewellery in your country? Why?

In my country, people often give jewellery as gifts during weddings, anniversaries, and festivals. It symbolizes love, commitment, and celebration, making it a meaningful choice for special occasions.

4.     Have you ever given jewellery to someone as a gift? Why/Why not?

Yes, I have given jewellery as a gift before. I chose a bracelet for my sister on her birthday because I wanted to give her something special and lasting that she could cherish.

PART II: Describe an Interesting TV Programme

One interesting TV programme I watched was about climate change.

I saw this programme a few months ago on a popular documentary channel. It discussed the causes and effects of climate change, focusing on how human activities impact the environment.

From this programme, I learned about the greenhouse effect and how it leads to global warming. The documentary also highlighted some solutions, such as renewable energy sources and conservation efforts.

I found this TV programme interesting because it combined stunning visuals with urgent information. It made me more aware of the environmental issues we face and motivated me to think about ways to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Most people in my country show a moderate interest in science. While there is enthusiasm around scientific achievements, many are not fully aware of the latest developments unless they are covered by the media.

Children today have access to more resources and technology, such as the internet and educational apps. This allows them to learn more about scientific concepts and discoveries at a younger age.

3.     How do you suggest the public can learn more about scientific developments?

I suggest that the public can learn more about scientific developments through accessible media like documentaries, podcasts, and social media channels. Schools should also encourage curiosity by integrating science into everyday discussions.

Scientific Discoveries

1.     What do you think are the most important scientific discoveries in the last 100 years?

I believe some of the most important discoveries include the development of vaccines, the discovery of DNA's structure, and advancements in renewable energy technologies. These have significantly impacted health, genetics, and the fight against climate change.

2.     Do you agree or disagree that there are no more major scientific discoveries left to make?I disagree with that statement. Science is always evolving, and there are countless mysteries left to explore. Areas like space exploration, medicine, and environmental science are full of potential for major breakthroughs.

3.     Who should pay for scientific research — governments or private companies?

I think both governments and private companies should fund scientific research. Government funding is crucial for public health and welfare, while private companies can drive innovation. Collaboration between both sectors can lead to significant advancements.
