I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing on behalf of the residents of Birganj, Dinajpur, to bring to your kind attention the worsening condition of our roads and drainage system. For several months, the streets in our area have been in a terrible state due to heavy rains and lack of proper maintenance. Large potholes and broken road surfaces make it nearly impossible for vehicles to move smoothly, and pedestrians are often forced to wade through muddy water.

To make matters worse, the drainage system has become completely clogged. During even light showers, water quickly accumulates in the streets because the drains are filled with garbage and have not been cleaned in a long time. This causes severe waterlogging, leading to dirty water entering homes and shops. Besides the inconvenience, it is also creating serious health risks, especially for children and the elderly.

Many school-going children are missing classes as they cannot pass through flooded roads. Office workers and shopkeepers are also facing great difficulty in their daily activities. The situation becomes worse during the evening when visibility is low and the risk of accidents increases.

We sincerely request your prompt action to repair the roads and clean the drainage system. Regular maintenance and better planning can help avoid such problems in the future. We hope the City Corporation will act immediately to bring relief to the suffering residents of Birganj.

বড় বড় গর্ত এবং ভাঙা রাস্তার পৃষ্ঠ যানবাহনগুলোর চলাচল প্রায় অসম্ভব করে তুলেছে, আর পথচারীদের প্রায়ই কাদা পানিতে হেঁটে যেতে বাধ্য হতে হয়।

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your kind attention the severely damaged condition of the roads in the Mirpur-12 area of Dhaka city. The situation has worsened significantly after the recent spells of heavy rainfall, which caused major wear and tear. Large potholes and uneven road surfaces now make it extremely difficult for vehicles and pedestrians to move safely.

This road connects several key locations, including schools, hospitals, markets, and residential zones. Due to its poor condition, traffic slows down heavily, and commuters are often delayed while heading to work, school, or important appointments. The absence of proper road dividers and faded markings has made the situation even more dangerous, especially during night-time or in low-visibility conditions.

People are being forced to walk through muddy water and face the risk of accidents, injuries, and even diseases caused by the stagnant water. The constant vibration from bumpy rides also causes discomfort to the elderly and patients travelling in vehicles.

We had previously informed local authorities, but unfortunately, no action has been taken yet. Therefore, I earnestly request you to take immediate steps to repair and resurface the damaged roads. Regular maintenance and better drainage would prevent such problems in the future.

Your kind attention and swift response to this matter would be greatly appreciated by all the residents of our area.

Respected Sir,

I am writing to draw your kind attention to a serious drainage issue that the residents of South Agrabad have been facing for quite some time. The drainage system in our locality is in a very poor condition. During even light rainfall, the roads become waterlogged within minutes, causing great trouble for commuters and residents alike.

Our area is slightly lower in elevation compared to the surrounding blocks, which worsens the situation. Rainwater accumulates quickly and takes hours, sometimes even days, to drain out. The blocked and poorly maintained drains contribute heavily to this waterlogging. As a result, people often find it difficult to leave their homes, and children and elderly individuals are at constant risk of falling or catching waterborne diseases.

Furthermore, the waterlogging disrupts traffic movement and damages roads, creating long-term hazards. If this issue is not addressed before the upcoming monsoon, the situation will likely become unmanageable.

I kindly request you to take immediate and effective steps to clean and repair the drainage lines in our area. A proper drainage plan and regular maintenance are urgently required to prevent further suffering of the people in our community.
