Your letter is just to hand, and I am glad to hear about your recent adventures. Today, I want to share an unforgettable experience I had recently—a thrilling cricket match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats!

The match was between our local team and a rival team from a nearby district. It was held at the town stadium, which was packed with enthusiastic fans waving flags and cheering loudly. The excitement in the air was infectious, and everyone was eager to see who would emerge victorious.

Our team won the toss and chose to bat first. From the very beginning, the match was filled with suspense. The opening batsmen played cautiously, building a strong foundation. However, a sudden fall of wickets had us all biting our nails. Just when things seemed bleak, our star player entered the field. His powerful shots and quick running between the wickets brought the crowd back to life. He scored an impressive century, which helped us post a competitive total of 275 runs.

When it was the opponent’s turn to bat, the tension only increased. Their opening batsmen were aggressive, scoring runs quickly. Our bowlers struggled initially but soon found their rhythm. A brilliant diving catch by one of our fielders turned the tide in our favor. Every wicket was celebrated with deafening cheers, and it felt like the entire town was united in support of our team.

The final overs were nerve-wracking. The rival team needed 10 runs from the last over, and our best bowler was given the ball. He bowled brilliantly, taking two wickets and restricting the runs. When the final ball was bowled and the opponent fell short by three runs, the entire stadium erupted in joy!

It was more than just a match; it was an emotional rollercoaster that brought everyone together. Watching the players give their best and feeling the crowd's energy made it an unforgettable experience. I wish you could have been there to witness the excitement with me.

Dear 'Abir',

I am awfully excited! What a nice performance of the Bangladesh team in the World Cup Cricket'2022 is! Bangladesh has played five teams in the World Cup'…. And the overall performance is satisfactory. I think by beating Scotland and Pakistan, Bangladesh team made all the cricket fan surprised. It is a great achievement for us.

Possibly you witnessed the match between our team and Pakistan team held in Northampton on May 31, …... The rival team won the toss and opted for bowling. Everyone in the world took it for guaranteed that Pakistan would win the match. But our team very successfully took the match under its control and defeated Pakistan by 62 runs. For Bangladesh it is an achievement and a dramatic win. It cleared the way for Bangladesh to be a permanent member of Test World in cricket. You see, my thrills and joy knew no bounds when our team returned in flying colours.

My dear ‘A’,

Thanks for your letter. Today I am telling you about the exciting cricket match I have witnessed at the Abahani playground in Dhaka. It was played between Surya Tarun and Kalabagan club.

Surya Tarun won the toss and the captain decided to bat. One of the opening batsmen was out after scoring only six runs giving a catch to the wicket keeper. Surya Tarun’s captain saved the prestige of the team by scoring 109 with four sixes and ten fours. They were all out with a good total of 213 runs. Kalabagan had good spinners but they were averagely good in case of batting. Kalabagan reached near the target very hard. From the last over they had to collect 13 runs to win. The score was 201 for eight after 49 over.

As Kalabagan needed 13 runs from 6 balls, the batsmen in the pitch were in tension. First, they made a mutual discussion and tried to make themselves free from tension. The first bowl of the last over did not let Kalabagan collect any run. But the second ball of the last over brought six runs for the Kalabagan Club. The third ball was unfortunately dotted. But the fourth ball brought four runs. The fifth ball reached the deep zone of the play ground but the fielders fielded well and so Kalabagan got only one run. So, Kalabagan needed two runs to win from the last ball. The batsman of Kalabagan batted the ball blindly. God favoured him and it was four runs. Kalabagan reached their target hard.

Kalabagan defeated Surya Tarun Club by two wickets after facing a hard contest. This game was very important for Kalabagan because their chance to play in the quarter final was fully dependent on the victory of this match. Really, I was very much excited witnessing the match. It made me delighted for the time being. This is all for today. With love and best wishes.
