Load shedding and Power failure paralysing the normal life in your locality

Load shedding has been almost a daily occurrence in our locality. It is causing great inconvenience to the city dwellers here. The students can not prepare their lessons well. The mistresses of the houses and the shopkeepers face great trouble. The old and the sick become deprived of the use of fans because of power cuts. The Antisocials feel encouraged during load shedding hours. Thus, it has become a major problem in our locality. This unbearable situation is bound to arise unless the proper actions are taken to prevent it.

In view of the above fact, the authority is requested to take necessary action to solve this problem as early as possible for the-interest of the suffering people.

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to voice the grievances of the people in our locality regarding the frequent power outages.

Frequent Power Outages

Our area is home to various industries, both large and small. Unfortunately, our lives are frequently disrupted by power outages. The owners of these factories and industries are facing significant challenges as their production is severely affected by the frequent power failures. Despite this, they still have to meet their financial obligations, leading to some industries having to implement partial layoffs.

These outages also impact students, especially during nighttime when they struggle to study without electricity. Moreover, the darkness provides an opportunity for criminals to engage in anti-social activities, leading to an increase in theft, robbery, and other criminal acts in our locality.

Despite our repeated complaints to the local WAPDA office, no action seems to be taken. It appears that they are ignoring our concerns. We urge WAPDA to address this issue promptly and ensure a regular supply of electricity to our locality.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you on behalf of the residents of Auchpara, Tongi, to bring your attention to a matter of serious concern—frequent and unpredictable power cuts in our area. This issue has been persisting for several months and has made everyday life extremely difficult for both the residents and local industries.

Auchpara is known as a key industrial zone where a number of factories and small businesses operate. Unfortunately, due to constant power disruptions, production lines are being interrupted, causing significant financial losses to business owners. Many factories have had to shut down temporarily or reduce their working hours, which is also affecting the livelihoods of daily workers and employees.

Besides affecting industries, this issue has become a major hurdle for students who are unable to concentrate on their studies, especially during exams. Homemakers are facing challenges in completing daily chores, and the entire community suffers when the power goes out in the evening. Darkness in the streets due to power failure also creates opportunities for theft and other criminal activities, making the neighborhood unsafe.

We have high hopes that the Electricity Board under your leadership will treat this problem with urgency. We respectfully request that you investigate the cause of these recurring power failures and take the necessary steps to ensure a stable and uninterrupted power supply to our area.

আমি তোঙ্গীর আউচপাড়া এলাকায় অবিরাম ও অপ্রত্যাশিত বিদ্যুৎ বিপর্যয়ের বিষয়ে একটি আনুষ্ঠানিক অভিযোগ জানাতে এই চিঠি লিখছি। কয়েক মাস ধরে এই সমস্যা আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবন ও শিল্পকারখানার কাজকর্ম মারাত্মকভাবে ব্যাহত করছে।

আউচপাড়া একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিল্পাঞ্চল, যেখানে অসংখ্য ফ্যাক্টরি ও ছোট ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠান পরিচালিত হয়। ঘন ঘন বিদ্যুৎ চলে যাওয়ায় উৎপাদন ব্যাহত হচ্ছে, ফলে ব্যবসায়ীদের বিশাল আর্থিক ক্ষতি হচ্ছে। অনেক ফ্যাক্টরি অস্থায়ীভাবে বন্ধ রাখতে বাধ্য হচ্ছে বা কর্মঘণ্টা কমিয়ে দিচ্ছে, যা শ্রমিকদের আয়ের উপর মারাত্মক প্রভাব ফেলছে।

শিল্পের পাশাপাশি, এই সমস্যা বাসিন্দাদের জন্যেও ভয়াবহ। শিক্ষার্থীরা পরীক্ষার সময় ঠিকমতো পড়াশোনা করতে পারছে না, গৃহিণীরা দৈনন্দিন কাজ করতে হিমশিম খাচ্ছেন। রাতে বিদ্যুৎ চলে গেলে পুরো এলাকা অন্ধকারে ডুবে যায়, যা চুরি-ডাকাতির মতো অপরাধকে উৎসাহিত করছে।

আমরা আশা করি, আপনার নেতৃত্বে গাজীপুর বিদ্যুৎ বোর্ড এই সমস্যা দ্রুত সমাধানে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেবেন। আমরা অনুরোধ করছি, এই বিদ্যুৎ বিপর্যয়ের কারণ অনুসন্ধান করে স্থায়ী সমাধান বাস্তবায়ন করার জন্য।
