Dear Sir,

With due respect, I write on behalf of the inhabitants of Palash Ward under your municipality to bring to your attention the challenges we are facing in our area. Palash Ward is characterized by high population density, and all residents are educated individuals. While your municipality is esteemed in the district, it currently grapples with various forms of pollution.

One of the most pressing issues we face is odor pollution, primarily due to the mismanagement of garbage. Although there are a few dustbins and trash boxes in the area, they are not promptly or regularly emptied. Consequently, the accumulation of garbage leads to severe odor pollution and contributes to air pollution, posing significant risks to public health.

To address this problem effectively, we urgently need additional dustbins and trash collection points in our locality. Proper and regular removal of garbage is essential to mitigate the suffering of city dwellers and maintain a healthy living environment.

Subject : Regarding the poor maintenance of the garden and improper waste disposal

Sir

I am Naila Aziz, a resident of Keraniganj area. I am writing to bring to your notice the poor maintenance of the garden near our residential area and the improper disposal of waste. The garden near the residential area was watered regularly, and grass shrubs were trimmed and maintained neatly in the beginning. It has been more than a month now since any kind of maintenance is done in the garden. We have tried to contact the person in charge, but every effort has just been in vain.

Another growing issue is the problem of waste disposal. There were people from the corporation collecting garbage for disposal every two days, but it has been more than a week now since they have collected any garbage from our area. This has led to the accumulation of waste, and people have started dumping it in the corner of the street as they have no other choice. Kindly look into this matter and the maintenance of the garden as it would become a huge mess if this continues. It would be highly appreciated if you could also inform the residents that all garbage would be collected and not to throw them out around the street corners.

Subject: Urgent Request for Action on Garden Waste and Cleanliness Issues in Keraniganj

Respected Sir,

I am writing to you as a responsible resident of Keraniganj to highlight the worsening condition of the community garden in our area and the lack of proper waste disposal, which is causing serious inconvenience to the local residents.

The garden, which was once a place of recreation and relaxation for children and the elderly, has now fallen into neglect. It has not been cleaned or maintained for several weeks. Overgrown bushes, dry leaves, and scattered litter have turned this once-beautiful green space into an eyesore. The walking paths are covered in dust and waste, discouraging visitors from entering the premises.

Adding to our frustration is the irregular collection of garbage from the locality. Earlier, municipal workers used to collect the waste regularly. But for the past several days, waste has been piling up on roadsides and near the garden area, creating an unhygienic environment and attracting stray animals. As there are no dustbins or proper waste points, people have started dumping garbage wherever they find space.

This has not only affected the beauty of our area but is also posing health risks to the community. Children are especially vulnerable to infections due to the foul smell and filth.

We sincerely urge the city authorities to restore proper maintenance of the garden and resume timely waste collection. Installing waste bins and launching an awareness campaign could also help reduce littering.
