 GOOD MANNERS

Good manners show a person’s inner goodness and education. When someone behaves gently, it makes the people around them feel good. A person with good manners can make a positive impact on others. There is a saying, "A tree is known by the fruits it bears, a man is known by the company he keeps," meaning that good people are recognized by their behavior. Good manners are often learned from family and the people around us. A child raised in a good, well-mannered home will likely learn to treat others with respect. On the other hand, bad company can lead to bad manners. That is why moral education is important. From an early age, children should be taught right from wrong, and guided to grow into honest, brave, and kind adults. The home is the best place for this learning. A person with good manners is polite, listens to others, and respects their opinions. They never use harsh words or hurt others. A person with bad manners is rude, interrupts, and disrespects others. No one likes a person with bad manners. Good manners make life easier and more pleasant. They are not just for rich people; anyone, regardless of their class, can have good manners. Good manners do not cost anything, but they bring love and respect from others.

Good manners are the external expressions of one's inner goodness and education. They generate good and welcome response. A gentle behaviour stirs the environment and a sensitive man or woman virtually responds to soothing behaviour from his or her counterpart. There is a saying, "A tree is known by the fruits it bears, a man is known by the company he keeps."

Good manners can beget good manners. But different people of different levels behave in different ways, may be well and rude. Well developed societies show much regards or respects to their elders. Good manners can be inherited from good, educated and well-mannered or well-behaved families. So goes a wise saying, "A good company makes a man good while a bad one makes him bad." If anyone becomes accustomed to good manners or behaves well, he can under no circumstances misbehave with anyone.

So moral education is all important. From their earliest years children must be taught the difference between right and wrong, and trained to love and follow what is right and hate and avoid what is wrong. So training means the formation of character on right lines. Its object is to bring children up in such a way that they will grow up to be truth -loving, honest, brave, pure-minded and unselfish men and women. The home is the best school for moral education.

A good mannered man is polite and courteous. He respects the views and opinions of others although they differ from his own. He listens patiently to what others have to say. He neither usesharsh words to others nor does anything that may offend others.

An ill-mannered man is rude and rough. He has no respect for the feeling of others. He tries to speak when another is speaking. He tries to thrust his offensive remarks. He shows bad manners in various ways. A man of unpolished manners is not liked by anyone. Everybody hates him.

Good manners make life pleasant, smooth and easy. Hence man makes manners and manners make him real man. Good manners and civilisation are closely linked. Gold is always gold whether it is in possession of any rich or poor man. Good manners are not only confined to the upper classes of people. They may be found among all classes — rich or poor. Good manners do not cost anything but they gain for us love and respect.

When someone behaves kindly and politely, it encourages others to do the same. If someone is around good, well-mannered people, they are more likely to be polite as well.

This is why it’s important to teach children the difference between right and wrong from an early age. By teaching them good values, we help them become honest, caring, and respectful adults.

Good-mannered people don’t use harsh words or do anything that might upset others. On the other hand, people with bad manners are rude, interrupt others, and don’t care about how their words affect others. They are often disliked by others because of their behavior.

Anyone, no matter their background, can have good manners. They don’t cost anything, but they bring respect and love from others. ভালো আচার-ব্যবহার একজন মানুষের অভ্যন্তরীণ শুদ্ধতা এবং শিক্ষার বাহ্যিক প্রকাশ। এগুলো ভালো এবং গ্রহণযোগ্য প্রতিক্রিয়া তৈরি করে। একটি নম্র আচরণ পরিবেশকে সজীব করে তোলে এবং একজন সংবেদনশীল পুরুষ বা নারী তার সঙ্গীর কাছ থেকে প্রশান্ত আচরণের প্রতি প্রকৃতভাবে প্রতিক্রিয়া দেখায়। একটি প্রবাদ আছে, "গাছটি তার ফল দ্বারা পরিচিত, একজন মানুষ তার সঙ্গীর দ্বারা পরিচিত।"

ভালো আচার-ব্যবহার ভালো আচার-ব্যবহারকেই জন্ম দিতে পারে। তবে বিভিন্ন স্তরের মানুষ বিভিন্নভাবে আচরণ করে, হয়তো ভালো অথবা রূঢ়। ভালোভাবে উন্নত সমাজগুলি তাদের প্রবীণদের প্রতি অনেক শ্রদ্ধা এবং সম্মান দেখায়। ভালো আচার-ব্যবহার ভালো, শিক্ষিত এবং শালীন পরিবার থেকে উত্তরাধিকারসূত্রে প্রাপ্ত হতে পারে। একটি প্রবাদ আছে, "ভালো সঙ্গী একজন মানুষকে ভালো করে তোলে, আর খারাপ সঙ্গী তাকে খারাপ করে তোলে।" যদি কেউ ভালো আচার-ব্যবহারে অভ্যস্ত হয়ে যায়, তাহলে সে কখনোই কারো সঙ্গে খারাপ আচরণ করতে পারে না।

তাহলে নৈতিক শিক্ষাই সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। তাদের প্রাথমিক বছরগুলো থেকে শিশুকে সঠিক এবং ভুলের মধ্যে পার্থক্য শেখানো উচিত এবং তাদের সঠিককে ভালোবাসতে এবং অনুসরণ করতে এবং ভুলকে ঘৃণা করতে এবং পরিহার করতে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া উচিত। তাই প্রশিক্ষণ মানে সঠিক দিশায় চরিত্র গঠন করা। এর উদ্দেশ্য হলো এমনভাবে শিশুদের বড় করা যাতে তারা সত্যপ্রিয়, সৎ, সাহসী, নির্মল মনের এবং নিরহংকারী পুরুষ এবং নারী হয়ে ওঠে। বাড়ি হলো নৈতিক শিক্ষার জন্য সেরা স্কুল।

একজন ভালো আচার-ব্যবহারকারী মানুষ বিনয়ী এবং অভ্যর্থনাপূর্ণ। তিনি অন্যদের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি এবং মতামত সম্মান করেন, যদিও সেগুলি তার নিজের মতের সঙ্গে ভিন্ন। তিনি ধৈর্য সহকারে অন্যদের বলার কথা শোনেন। তিনি অন্যদের প্রতি খারাপ শব্দ ব্যবহার করেন না এবং এমন কিছু করেন না যা অন্যদের আঘাত করতে পারে।
