Do you like a house or a flat/an apartment?

I believe most people would prefer owning a house rather than renting a flat, and I share the same sentiment. If given the choice, I would opt for a house with a small garden. I find that living in a house offers more privacy and peace compared to dealing with constant disturbances from neighboring apartments and the hassle of elevator rides every time I come home.

What kind of housing/accommodation do you live in?

For the past 21 years, I’ve lived in a house with my family. If I were to move out and start living independently, I would aim to find a place where I can design the layout to suit my personal preferences. Sharing a room or a flat with strangers seems quite troublesome to me, so having my own space where I can plan everything myself would be ideal.

What do you usually do in your house/flat/room?

I definitely enjoy spending some quality me-time at home. I study, read, draw, and dance all by myself. Occasionally, I invite a few friends over to watch movies or just hang out. We enjoy sharing stories and spending time together in a relaxed environment.

Who do you live with?

I live with my family, which consists of five members. Each of us has our own room, which provides a lot of comfort and privacy. As we’ve grown older, having our own space has become increasingly important. Despite being spacious, our house remains a warm and cozy place that I consider my home.

How long have you lived there?

Although my family moved quite frequently during my childhood, we’ve been in our current house for almost ten years. Compared to our previous homes, this house has been the best by far. It suits our needs perfectly, with everyone having their own space while still enjoying communal areas.

Do you plan to live there for a long time?

My parents would likely prefer to stay here for a long time, as moving is time-consuming and exhausting. For me, however, I’m considering moving out to start my own independent life. Once I’m able to afford it, I hope to find a flat or apartment that fits my needs and preferences.

What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have lived in the past?

As I mentioned, my family moved several times when I was younger. Our current house, where we’ve lived for about ten years, stands out as the best. It offers us separate rooms for privacy and a large dining room where we can all gather together in the evenings to watch TV or have dinner.

Can you describe the place where you live?/Please describe the room you live in.

My modest house is situated on a quiet street, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle outside. Next to my house, there’s a large, old tree. I have my own room, which is painted in a soothing violet color. The fresh air outside allows me to open the window and enjoy the breeze and sunshine, keeping my room cool without needing an air conditioner. Since I spend most of my time at home, my room feels like a close friend, sharing in my joys and sorrows.

Which part of your home do you like the most?

The dining room is my favorite part of the house. It’s where my family gathers for meals and special occasions. The harmonious atmosphere during family dinners and reunions makes it a cherished space. For us, the family dinner is a vital ritual that strengthens our bond.

Why do you think some people invest a huge amount of money in buying houses?

People have various reasons for investing in property. The most significant reason is often privacy. Owning a house allows for greater independence and freedom to refurbish and personalize the space as desired. Additionally, there’s a sense of pride in ownership, whether the house is big or small, and the opportunity to renovate or show off one’s home can be quite appealing.

Should we live in a flat or a house?

The choice between living in a flat or a house largely depends on personal preferences and affordability. Flats offer modern amenities such as gyms, swimming pools, and convenience stores, which can be appealing if you have the budget. On the other hand, houses are generally more suitable for those who value privacy and a quieter lifestyle.
