Describe a trip that you took using public
transport
You should say:
· Where you went
· What public transport you used
· Who you were with
· And explain how you felt about the trip
To be perfectly honest, I rarely use public transport, as I live in the middle of nowhere, therefore, it is more practical for me to use my car, as there are no public transport options in my village. However, only a couple of weeks ago, I did use public transport for a trip to our capital city because I had tickets for a BTS concert.
Because it was on a Tuesday evening and I didn’t want my daughter to miss too much school, the quickest way to get there was by train and underground. Just after lunch, I picked her up from school and raced to the train station and got the high-speed train to London. Just over two hours later, we arrived and then rushed to the underground to get to our hotel. The hotel was located a 20 minute walk away from the underground and the O2 where the concert was being held, but due to time constraints we took a taxi, quickly freshened up and then walked back to the arena.
How did I feel about the trip? Well, on the one hand, it was more relaxing than going by car because I didn’t have the stress of driving in rush-hour traffic or getting stuck in a traffic jam, but, on the other hand, trains in my country are renowned for being late and because my schedule was tight, I was a bit stressed about the train being delayed.
Luckily, everything worked out perfectly and there were no delays. I was a bit anxious when I was going across London on the underground because it was teeming with people and I had my daughter with me and I didn’t want to get separated from her. The trip was good because of the ease and convenience, but I would hate to live in London and be a commuter on the London underground every day.

As for how I felt about the trip, it was somewhat mixed. On the one hand, it was more relaxing than driving because I avoided the stress of rush-hour traffic and the possibility of getting stuck in a traffic jam. On the other hand, trains in my country are notorious for being late, and since my schedule was tight, I was a bit stressed about potential delays.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly, and there were no delays. I was a bit anxious navigating the underground because it was crowded, and I was concerned about staying together with my daughter. Overall, the trip was good due to the ease and convenience of using public transport, but I would not relish the idea of commuting on the London underground every day.
