Well, when it comes to events or occasions that are celebrated in my country, we celebrate birthdays, graduations, weddings, wedding anniversaries, Christmas, New Year to name but a few. The one I’d like to talk about is my university graduation.

My university degree lasted four years and I was over the moon when I received the news that I had passed, as at times it was challenging and it seemed never-ending. The relief I felt was indescribable. When it came to my graduation day, I wanted to make it a day to remember. My family and siblings all attended the ceremony. It was quite nerve-wracking waiting for them to announce my name and then I had to walk on stage and collect my degree certificate. The look of pride on my family’s faces is something I’ll never forget.

After the ceremony, we went to a fancy restaurant where we had a slap-up meal. I treated my parents because they had supported me through university so I wanted to pay them back for all their support and generosity. It was the least I could do.

Later that day, I met up with my fellow graduates and we had a party. We were dancing and partying until the early hours. It really was the perfect end to the perfect day. There was a hint of sadness though, because it was the end of one chapter and the start of another. My student days were over and it was time to go out into the real world and get a job. Nevertheless, it was a great way to mark the end of my student days and I’ll never forget it.

An important event that I’d like to talk about is my university graduation. It was a significant milestone in my life and marked the end of an intense and rewarding four-year journey.

The graduation ceremony took place last year, and it was a day I had been looking forward to with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. I remember feeling over the moon when I received the news that I had successfully passed all my exams. The relief was immense, as the process had been challenging at times and seemed never-ending.

The ceremony was held at the university’s main hall, and my family and siblings were there to celebrate with me. Waiting for my name to be called and walking across the stage to collect my degree certificate was a nerve-wracking but exhilarating experience. Seeing the pride and joy on my family’s faces is something I will always cherish.

After the ceremony, we went to a fancy restaurant for a special meal. I wanted to treat my parents as a way to thank them for their unwavering support and generosity throughout my studies. It felt wonderful to be able to give back to them, even if just a little.

Later that evening, I met up with my fellow graduates for a party. We danced and celebrated together until the early hours. The day was perfect, but there was a tinge of sadness as it symbolized the end of my student life and the beginning of a new chapter in the real world. Despite the mixed emotions, it was a memorable and joyous way to conclude my university journey, and I’ll always look back on it with fondness.
