Letter to your friend advising not to adopt unfair means in the examination
April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka
Dear Runa,
I extend my cordial greetings to you and hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I was pleased to receive your letter the day before yesterday and to learn that you are preparing for your upcoming examination.
As you may be aware, there is a growing tendency among students to resort to unethical means during exams. I feel compelled to caution you against engaging in such behavior, as it is both morally reprehensible and detrimental to one's overall development. True education can only be attained through a disciplined and diligent approach to learning, and attempting to cheat one's way to success ultimately undermines one's academic and personal integrity.
While cheating may lead to temporary success, it will undoubtedly have negative long-term consequences. A person who resorts to unethical means to pass an exam or obtain a degree is likely to face severe repercussions later in life. Therefore, I advise you to prioritize your studies and avoid any temptation to cheat.
Remember, success achieved through hard work and perseverance is far more gratifying and fulfilling than success achieved through dishonest means. Failure is a temporary setback that can be overcome with dedication and effort, whereas cheating can irreparably damage one's character and reputation.
I hope my advice will prove useful to you, and I wish you all the best for your exams. Please convey my regards to your parents and my love to your younger siblings.
With love and best wishes,,
Sami

Dear Suman
I am very glad to receive your sweet note. Thanks a lot for this. Hope you are well. I am also fine. You must be studious and serious to your studies in order to do well in the exam. Today some students have a bad tendency to pass the exam by adopting unfair means Wei) in the examination hall. But copying in the exam is a great sinful as well as disgraceful act. No student can prosper in life by copying in the exam. Never think of copying in the exam hall which will harm your whole life tremendously. You must keep away/aloof from the boys who have tendency, of copying in the exam. Be serious to your studies and you must shine in life. No more today.
With my best wishes to you.

Dear Suman,
I was delighted to receive your kind note. Thank you very much for reaching out. I hope you're doing well. As for me, everything is fine on my end.
Mother mentioned in her letter that you seem to be lacking seriousness towards your studies, especially considering that your H.S.C exams are approaching. Time is incredibly valuable—it's essentially our life. Wasting time equates to wasting life itself. It's crucial for you to dedicate yourself to your studies if you aim to excel in the upcoming exams.
Unfortunately, there's a worrying trend among some students who resort to unfair means, such as cheating, during exams. However, cheating is not only morally wrong but also brings disgrace. No student can truly succeed in life by resorting to such dishonest practices. I urge you to steer clear of those who engage in cheating and maintain your integrity.
Stay focused on your studies, and I'm confident that you will achieve great success in life. That's all for now.
Sending you my best wishes,
Your loving brother,
Shafiq

Dear Raj,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. How are your studies going? I heard you'll be taking the upcoming S.S.C. Examination from R.S.T High School in Chittagong.
Listen, it's crucial to remember that cheating in exams is a serious offense. Many students waste their time goofing off before exams. Then, when exams approach, they realize they haven't studied enough and resort to cheating. But let me tell you, that's a risky move. Sure, you might pass the exam, but it's not worth it. Cheating tarnishes your reputation, and the certificate you get won't mean much in the long run. Nobody respects a cheater.
Instead, focus on your studies. Don't even entertain the thought of cheating. A student who passes exams honestly earns respect not just from others but from the whole nation.
I wish you all the best for your exams. May you succeed through your hard work and dedication.
Elderly Yours,
Ripon.

Adopting Unfair Means in Examinations
The prevalence of copying during examinations has emerged as a significant issue in our education system. Its widespread occurrence is alarming to conscientious individuals. While cheating is not a new phenomenon, its current prevalence is cause for serious concern.
During public examinations, examination halls often resemble chaotic marketplaces, with individuals posing as helpers and well-wishers gathering around examination centers to supply cheating materials. There are several underlying reasons for this culture of cheating. Firstly, our education system is flawed, failing to adequately prepare students. Secondly, inadequate teaching in classrooms contributes to students' reliance on unfair means. Thirdly, a shortage of trained teachers exacerbates the problem. Additionally, students' involvement in politics and idleness further perpetuate cheating. Moral degradation also plays a significant role in encouraging cheating.
Furthermore, the establishment of schools and colleges based on political considerations has led to the absence of academic environments in many institutions. Consequently, students from these establishments feel compelled to resort to unfair means during examinations.
Addressing this issue requires a collective effort from all segments of society. The government has implemented preventive measures to combat cheating. Public awareness campaigns through mass media aim to educate the populace about the consequences of cheating. Additionally, the government has enacted strict laws, stipulating that students caught cheating will be expelled from examination halls. Invigilators found aiding examinees will face legal action, and even outsiders caught assisting in cheating will be punished. Furthermore, the government has implemented measures such as changing examination centers and forming invigilation teams to monitor examination conditions comprehensively.
By implementing these measures and fostering a culture of integrity and honesty in education, we can effectively address the issue of cheating during examinations.
Thank you for considering the publication of this letter.
Yours faithfully,
Afra Tahsin
