Your sincere note is to hand. I am informed through your letter that you are going to participate in a seminar which will focus the subject of traffic jam. So you need some information about the causes of traffic jam. As I feel, the disobedience of traffic rules regarding this problem is one of the major causes of traffic jam. Okay, here is a brief about it.
Traffic jam is a big hazard in modern cities. All important streets in a big city get filled up with all types of vehicles during the busy hours. The junctions of city roads turn into images of absurdity of modern transportation. Traffic jam occurs due to the lack of knowledge about the traffic rules on the part of the vehicle drivers. The tendency to overtake one another is in the blood of all drivers. Again, people also violate the traffic rules of the country. On the streets people do not follow the zebra-crossing at the time of crossing the road. While crossing, people do not see both sides of the road to pass through the zebra-crossing. There are lots of traffic signals over the main road. Whenever there is red signal, the transport must stop; when there is green signal, the transport will go ahead. After that at the time of driving one will find some signals in front of the schools where the speed of the car is limited and there is no sound of horns. But the ignorant drivers and careless passers-by ignore these traffic signals.

Hope things are moving well. I am also fine. In your previous letter you wrote the problem of traffic jam of Dhaka city.I have thought over the matter. Here I am suggesting solution to the problem of trafficjam-which has become unbearable to the residents of Dhaka city.
Day by day the number of vehicles is increasing to meet the demand of the increased number of people. But the roads are not increasing in the same proportion. Many of these vehicles are unlicenc'ed. If the authority becomes more cautious about giving licence and punishing unlicensed drivers, the tide of the increasing vehicle, will decrease and thereby traffic jam will lessen.
You know negligence to the traffic rules causes severe traffic jam. Many drivers do not obey the traffic rules. Besides, our traffic police are tot sincere.Our government should show more responsibility to solve this problem. Strict law should be imposed upon the dishonest traffic police. The drivers who do not obey traffic rules should be punished in such a way that none dare do this wrong again Besides, our traffic rules should be amended.
The tendency to carry more and more passengers and to board and onboard passengers here and there also causes traffic jam. This problem, also can be solved by using strict law. The drivers* who stop their buses at any places other than bus stops should be punished severely. The licence of those buses also may be cancelled. Thereby traffic problem will be solved.
I think these measure will go a long way to solve the problem of traffic jam of Dhaka city. No more today. Please convey my best regards to your parents and love to all juniors.
